I just went to Frange Blue for the first time a few weeks ago, I followed my stylist Benny Berlin there from David & Friends, I have been going to Benny for 12 years, he is a great stylist and colorist. and I would follow him to any salon. Frange Blue is beatifully decorated, clean and all the otther stylists were friendly and welcoming
I had never heard of Frange Blue until Benny moved there recently. The place works well -- it's intimate but full of light and friendliness. Benny has been the only person to cut my hair for more than 20 years, and my loyalty is richly rewarded. I highly recommend Benny to anyone looking for a stylist.
I can't say enough great things about Benny Berlin. I've known Benny longer than I've been married - about 23+ years. I discovered him when he was hairstyling at Macy's in Union Square (when Macy's had a hair salon). He then went on and opened up Partners on O'Farrell and Powell. He just moved from David and Friends on Sutter to Frange Blue. I'm new to Frange Blue but I'll follow Benny where ever he may go just for my hair.
I get many compliments for the hair cuts; my friends like color and the streaks. And always get asked where I get my hair styled. Benny also cut my 8 year old daughter's long hair into a shoulder length bob. She was thrilled when she got so many compliments when she wore her new "hairdo" to school. We donated her cut hair.

I've got to chime in here on my wonderful stylist, Benny Berlin. I've been a client of Benny's for 4 years since I returned to San Francisco.
I've got problem hair, baby fine, thin and I seem to be losing some of it, too. Benny always takes great care with both the cut and the color and I come away looking like I have more hair than I do.
I will also mention that Benny is the salt of the earth, a nicer guy you would never meet and I will follow him anywhere.
Benny Berlin has been cutting and coloring my hair for almost 20 years (YIKES!) and he is the best.
